As the name suggests, commercial paving such as roads and parking lots receive a great deal of use. It is critical that the surface receiving the asphalt be properly prepared so that the maximum life of the pavement (and therefore the maximum value to the client) can be achieved. As with all of our paving projects we follow a comprehensive set of guidelines related to proper site preparation.
PARKING LOT PAVING
From small retail and service centres to strip malls and major commercial and industrial centers LaHave Paving has the experience, manpower, and equipment to handle your commercial paving requirements. Various factors such as vehicle size and weight distribution are considered to ensure proper design and depth of the asphalt base of the underlayment as well as the asphalt surface coat.
PARKING LOT RESURFACING AND REPAIR
In addition to new parking lot construction, we also provide repair and resurfacing services for existing parking lots. We will carefully perform an on-site inspection to determine the exact requirements as part of preparing a free quotation. When necessary, we will remove and dispose of the old asphalt from the areas in need of repair, inspect the sub-base, excavate, add new material, and compact to create a new foundation, and inspect all catch basins. Following the preparation work, we will do a final grade inspection.
LINE STRIPING & DESIGN
People appreciate a well designed and well marked parking system where the proper route of entrance and exit, allowable areas to park, and drive aisles are clearly marked. Parking spaces that are likewise clearly defined and wide enough to avoid accidents with cars and pedestrians are also greatly appreciated by the public. We can prepare a parking lot layout design based on the space available to help you maximize both the number of parking spaces as well as customer convenience.
